im not haveing ago . in no way do i want to see the duffen era back again , but surely if the press is to believed we must up the ante a bit more. cardiff & crystal palace offering fees in the region of and paying 7-8-9 million for players.
were as we are paying 2 million on average . like i said i dont want us to go over the top but to say we want austin or hooper one or the other cant be right get them both in for a round fee of 8-9 million or we will be left behind.
i do trust brucie will surprise us with his pulling power and dont think he will stay if he wasnt promised quite a big budget. time to break our transfer record and put the bullard saga to sleep for ever. plz mr allam spend a bit more :1980_boogie_down: <party>

I agree with all of this i am worried that we just aren't spending enough, we need to splash some cash or we will finish rock bottom.

Yes, there must be someone who cost £500,000 6 months ago, then got relegated into league 1, we could spend 6mil on.

I am sure AA has briefed SB on his budget, what he can pay for players and what he isnt allowed to go over.

in our first time in BPL, we didnt get Cousin whilst late.. dont panic children or I will set Micheal Winner on you.

Are Palace doing a Hull 2008 by spending that kind of money on individual players, who aren't even that good?

Sorry but I don't agree with this ****. The championship is the hardest league with the biggest prize to get out of. If the squad that took you up cannot compete with at least the bottom 6 you have to overspend. Ffs I remember the premier league the gulf is not that big.

I'm guessing you're under 5 year's of age, young man, as you clearly weren't around the last time we were in the Prem!

Eh I think you will find that i am not suggesting we get carried away like last time and like Qpr, but i want us to compete and not just disappear like Reading last season. On the other point i am and always have been a city fan mate.

Didn't Reading sign Pogrebnyak for about £5/6million - that didn't work out very well did it?
I trust Brucey, bargain signings along with 1/2 marquee players will do me!

We need to score goals to survive in Premier League. To score goals we need to find players who can cope with the rigours of the Premier League. That could mean finding gems like Michu or spending money. I believe SB will have this fixed in the next ten days.

We need another reasonable goalkeeper and spend money on two strikers. We can be more frugal in defence and midfield.

All you lot were crying your eyes out about Jimmy Bullard not long ago now you changed your tune, get the check book out Allam. You cant have it both ways you want to end up in the basement like Portsmouth?
If we get relegated so what we get to battle it out in the championship the year after, bloody plastic premiership fans you make me sick! Being in the the prem isn't worth risking the future of the club for lets just give it our best try and see what happens. If you don't like following a club that's slowly building then I suggest you buy a Man Utd shirt and jump on a trans pennine train and go shout for Man Utd when they play Barca in the Chumps league next season!

If we don't hijack Man City's move for Negredo then I'm not going next season.

I don't see why a club would want to get promoted if they try to get relegated the next season. I know there's money involved but I think you should take part in competitive sport to try to win. Ranting and raving just makes you look like an idiot.

The panicking comment is very apt. A lot of these signings had the whiff of panic about them.

    You're not happy so far?

An international keeper, two quality defenders with prem experience, elmo signed, boyd signed, chester and rosie agreeing new contracts....

Brady, Aluko, Meyler and Quinn brought in in the last 12 months....

Bids for Austin/Hooper for sensible fees....

    Dudgeon on the way back...

    Plus some quality loans....

No need to spend £8.5m on yet another Peterborough player. Or maybe you want to splash some cash on another Ghilas or Bullard or Olofinjana?

    We can be another Wigan.
