with the transfer window opening today, was just wondering who my fellow lions would like to see at the den next season as i think we are all in agreement that for a successful campaign, a few new faces are needed. here's a few i think would do well at the den... Le Fondre, been linked a few times would he make the step up Andros Townsend, if berylson digs deep enough maybe ambitious spurs may let him go? Nathan Tyson, solid champ player Andy King, awesome prospect peltier, looks like a real prospect and with hudders missing out on promo he may look elsewhere? bowyer, out of contract and with his experience may bring something off as well as on the pitch.. thoughts?
I would love to get Townsend back and take a chance with Le Fondre,,,, if Le Fondre can hack it in the championship could be a cracking move
I agree with mighty, also Tyson looks 99% that it wont happen and I think Bowyer would be to much of a divisive figure with his Wet Sham past.
hmm well teddy went wet sham n done ok... i understand being a former hammer brings with it divisiveness but he's had a few good seasons at brum and just think he may bring some experience to a relatively young team like what harris does the whole elder statesmen thing... it was only a suggestion just thought he would be free and could do a job.... yeah heard tyson would break our wage structure... anyway in kj we trust and im sure he's gt his eyes on a few gems COYL
Fair comment grant as we did accept Tony Cottee after all at the tail end of the 2000/1 season although he never really got a good look in at the time and I accepted him as it was the bigger picture scenario with the best thing for the club at the time as the kids would have learnt of him in training. I just think that Bowyer is a nasty little **** who should be locked up and would divide the crowd to much but as I trust Kenny to do the right thing I would accept him for the good of the club again like Cottee.
what about gary hooper? is he happy at celtic? proven goalscorer at this level? ould we gt him for the same amount we gonna sell moro for?
Haven't got a clue what he'd cost and it remains to be seen if he would he give up his first taste of european fotty to come back to the Championship which he left in the first place to go to a massive club so seems unlikely.
The way people are talking it doesn't sound like we'd splash the Moro money on only one player and we'd look to get a couple in at least which is more Kenny's style to discover a rough diamond and smooth off the edges. Adam Le Fondre for £650,000 for example if its true he's in talks with us.
townsend and a goalscoring striker should be our number one priority and sooner rather than later. let the new faces get to know the team and train with them for as long as possible, like Tam did last season.
