Good player and a steal for a price, just hope he's being signed to supplement, not succeed, Barton.

    This. <ok>

Hopefully he'll be that box-to-box midfield maestro we need to partner and give competition to Tiote/Barton respectively.

I've watched a fair bit of Ligue 1 and have to say he is always very good. May take a while to adjust but he is gifted and has an for a pass. Haven't seen as much of him this season but the one before last he must have got a few goals because every highlights section I seemed to watched, he scored! Great competition for Tiote and Nolan. (I see Barton as a right midfielder. I think he suits the role very well even if he prefers the middle) Sell Guthrie and Smith and buy a young defensive midfielder with talent to back up Tiote and I think we'd look pretty strong. Make that very strong.

Not seen much of him as I just didn't take note of him when watching Lille matches, I was too busy scrutinizing Gervinho and Sow but I'm excited to see him play, there's certainly a decent amount of hype coming from this "signing".

From what I've read he was a crowd favourite and very well respected, with him being Lille born, apparently? Hard-working, box-to-box midfielder and as long as he gives his all in every game he'll become a crowd favourite at Newcastle too.

But I really want Gameiro, don't want Gervinho I'm just not impressed with him, wouldn't say no to N'Zogbia coming back, don't think it would be the end of the world if Enrique went, plenty if LB's could do a similar if not better job that I think we can sign and would like to see a contract offered to Barton.
