Suggested on twitter that he's the midfielder we're after. Ex Bruce signing and out of favour at Stoke, could be possible.
If true I think it would be a great signing - I'd prefer Palacios over Cattermole if we're to get one of SB's former midfielders..
Polacios is 50,000,000 x better than Cattormole. both are past their best but Cattermole is on the slide faster than Polacios

Can only base it on the article and that it says Palacios didn't play at all under Pulis last season?
It seems that Palacious only played four times last season and has been told he can leave, but Stoke are currently asking too much money. And we've got no interest in Cattermole.
If SB snags Palacios and can get 2 decent strikers - he will have done brilliantly in the transfer market...
^^^ this! I think SB has done marvelous up to now, he has solved our keeper problem. That was our MAIN problem. OK we are a bit lightweight up front. I'd rather everything not hang on Aluko staying fit, and Im still not sold on Fyrup in the BPL.
Tend to agree with this, obviously I'd support him if he comes but I'm not sure he's better than Meyler. Depends on how much he'd cost, If we got him for £1m and about £20k in wages he'd be a decent signing at this level, much more than that and I'm not sure we'd be getting value for money. In Brucey we trust though!
Without any doubt. Now that all the loose ends are sorted Bruce can sort out the area in need of new blood. But..... Palacios is withouit doubt the best of the the midfielders we have been linked with. Proven PL experience and quality and his best days were with Bruce @ Wigan which sealed his £12m move to Spurs. If possible get him especially as Stoke want rid of him.
Palacios was one of the best midfielders in the premier league a few seasons ago. You don't just lose that, If he can get fit, he can do us a job.
This would be a great signing if it comes off. If we can get a nice fee sorted with decent wages then we'll have pulled off a steal. He'll compliment Quinn and Meyler nicely and if we put him on the left side of the midfield, he might be able to rekindle his partnership with Figueroa.
