    Looks a bit of a treck to the Italian games - Ryanscare to Milan and then hire a Fiat ****togetinto for a long drive....

    ...and brush up on your German. The SV Mals site is in German, all the local towns have German and Italian names. On the Austrian / Liechtenstein border give or take a few miles.

    .....because until just after the First World War, this town was actually in Austria - the area is still known in German as the SudTirol and virtually every town and village still has a German name as well as an Italian equivalent.

    Italy chose the right side for WW1 and the wrong side for WW2!

    According to Wikipedia, the first language of 96.92% of the population of Mals as per the 2011 Census is German and only 3% Italian.
