Goes against the grain but for 'business entertaining purposes' I've taken 2 seats in a mates box at Wednesday for next season. Can't see me getting there that often with all the away games we've got up my end but if I can't get to LR at least I can still scout the other sides and still be home for tea. Loads of my clients follow Wednesday so it's beneficial but at the same time...... ......Feels like a betrayal somehow?
Good for you! Enjoy the footie. In fact, you will enjoy the footie more as a neutral except for one week that might be a bit tricky for you. You would never stop being a Ranger!
Not sure tbh SB. Half my office are blades half owls. The blades are very aspirational and bitter over their demotion over the tevez affair and insist they are a premier league team by right. Owls fans however have no such expectation and there's a fatalism to their support I can empathise with, plus we inflicted bothroyd on them last season Still it feels a bit odd nonetheless I shall of course be seeing you all at Huddersfield away? The lone town fan in my office is quietly confident of pasting us
The way things are going down W12 way, it may be the wisest decision you've ever made! Today McClaren, tomorrow????????
I have an inbuilt bias Wubba, nearly 20 years ago I worked for a year in Worksop. Obviously its impossible to actually live there and sadly a house purchase in Broomhill fell through and we couldn't hang around with a heavily pregnant wife, so ended up in Retford. But most of my mates round there were Blades, with a few Donny, so I have a soft spot for them, and Sheff was the nearest point of civilization, I really liked it, strengthened by taking my son up to look around the Uni a couple of weeks ago. Great town.
Christ! Worksop? That's considered penal survitude to have to work there Broomhill v nice my kids go to school there and there's a great Argentinian BBQ restaurant 'la vaca' there Anyway I got my bill through from Wednesday - excellent value when you consider the food is superb and most drinks are included too. Only downside seems to be having david hirst & mel sterland cracking bad jokes all game
Where was your lad looking at? Hallam or Sheff Uni? I did the student union bar refurb at Sheff uni last summer 'bar one' - great club nights and bands most nights
