Interesting piece from a Leeds pov. I find this line ironic - and I know at least one other contributor who will feel the same way. http://www.thesquareball.net/2013/07/01/morisons-departure-casts-shadow/? The script is already written, Morison comes on as a late sub and scores for Millwall to dent Leeds play-off chances. Watch this space.
Personally I like this line best From what I remember of Morison he never ran around, in fact his perceived lack of work rate was one of the biggest criticisms aimed at him. Also his best spell while he was here was when Lambert was playing a 4-5-1 formation and using a lone striker, a formation and system almost identical to the one Hughton used through most of the season. If he had of become a 'proto-grant holt' and put the effort in that Holt does he may have survived longer in the Premier League
remember Morison playing the lone striker role at Newcastle and he ran his socks off to no avail for 90 mins , would not question his workrate but his hat trick of missed chances against Villa in the cup summed up his second season, like that kind of deal carrabuh
Morrison not good enough in my opinion but have to say I thought his work rate was fairly high to be honest!
I would be brave enough to say he is a good player, but not just good enough to sustain form at the highest level.
