Apologise if you don't think this belongs here, but I'd like to show you a goal that won the championship. It's 2001 and it's the next last fixture of the season, FC Copenhagen can secure their second championship if they beat the then mighty Brøndby on hometurf. And Sibusiso Zuma secures it with the best goal the league has seen. What a way to win the championship.
Also marking the beginning of the FC København era, as the leading Club in Scandinavia... Should be said that our opponents in this match are our bitter rivals, who - at that time - actually could play football. These days they battle relegation, but they're incapable of being relegated too. They've been trying for 2 seasons now, without success. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F.C._Copenhagen ...and thankyou for posting. Obviously seen it a 1000000 times (I, ofcourse, was there)
As spectacular as that goal was i always think a desperate dive from the goal keeper would have given it the billing it truly deserved..
Think Carlsberg's marketing department are missing a trick here; 'Carlsberg don't do goals....but if they did...'
Im a converted Brondby fan so all I can say about that is ...**** FC Copenhagen !! Its like Cardiff v Swansea but in a country that cycles a lot ...
How can you be mistaken like that. B-by is a concrete-slum in the suburbs: the highest crimerate, lowest literacy and their colours reassemble the Swedish flag! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd-FmKlY2lM
Think your seeing the Cardiff attitude from our big city Copenhagen fan Bony !! Can you sense the level of superiority ?? Im only joshing with you Mikra, but Brondby is still my team there not your lot !!
I can appreciate the fact that you obviously don't know a lot about Danish football then: B-by have been mediocre as the best since Laudrup left them 6-7 years ago. Last 2 seasons battling against relegation: they struggle even to get relegated!!!! Serious Financial problems (hours away from bankrupcy in february AND march 2013). It's not possible to support a Club like that; unless it's genetical: and you're not even from here. Is it nostagia, or have you been infected?
your sig answers the how can you support them question mikra, no matter how poor things are on and off the pitch, you stick by your team through it all
Ofcourse, but NJ supports Swansea. This is the first time NJ ever mentions B-by, and I've had my share of loyalty debates on this site too. You can - I suppose have 3rd or 4th Clubs you like, symphatise with but not support socially, emotionally or financially. Say I like AC Milan, but I don't hang around their web-site...
