They're not good, but it's not quite as bad as I feared. The away kit doesn't have the stupid contrasting sleeves. It's not super-exciting, but it's not bad. Also not a fan of black, but overall I can live with it. The home kit does have the stupid sleeves which means right away it sucks. But I was resigned to the stupid sleeves and it seems like at least five other teams are also going to have stupid sleeves. I'm okay with the gold logo because it actually sticks out less to me, and it would be too busy otherwise due to-- again-- the ridiculous sleeves. I like the hoops on the socks.
on the pitch, you're probably right. In itself that seems a poor decision as it's predominantly the sponsor logo.
I'm going to make my own shirt - I'll buy one of these - http://www.clublinefootball.com/nike_inter_stripe_iii_red_white - & then sew a Saints badge onto it. It'll be like guerilla football shirt making, only nobody will notice & nobody will care.
Not a fan of the home but the away one is one of my favourites of all time. In fairness didn't like last years until Rickie scored that goal against Man City, then, in a split second, it became oddly iconic.
I don't mind people not likeing the home kit(as I don't either) it's just when they go on and on it gets annoying as ****.
Saints have just released some higher-res pics for anyone wanting to use it as a background or whatever: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I really like it. I've heard criticism of the V, but I liked it when I first heard about it, when I first saw it, and when it was released. Think I will buy that at some point. I tend to only buy home or away when I buy, not like those who buy all of them. So this season it's definitely the away.
Yeah, I hate that too.....The poll result does not lie, over 50% dislike/hate it as opposed to 21% that like/love it with the rest undecided...that means that the majority think that the club has made a mistake this time, (I'm not being disloyal by pointing that out, it's just a fact).
Agree, I like the V. is it my imagination or are there lines running parallel to the v? at the risk of repeating myself it looks nearly like the negative of this http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/06/01/article-2325969-1A17F7E0000005DC-104_634x761.jpg i'd have been more likely to buy it if it was a white shirt tbh but we had that last time.
If they even sell it. Last season's purple one wasn't available I don't think. Funnily enough that was the nicer one.
Don't know if it's been mentioned but JWP was there at the shoot, and he's been away with the under 20's for a while now, so how long ago was the shoot do you think?
I'm so-so about the home kit, but really like the away top, not too sure about the white shorts though. I think if I were to purchase one, it would be the away top. With the home kit, at least the red on the shirt matches the red on the shorts!! Was watching Spain the other night and wondered whether the 'V' could be used on a Saints shirt, glad we've gone with something along those lines for the away kit.
Home kit is so so, it might grow on me,I have last seasons top which I like but I loved the sash more. Away top looks good but I might have bad Taste as I thought last season white top was ok.
