Where'd you hear this mate, cos i've lierally just had a text saying the same thing, from a good source.
RokerReport on twitter went through and explained how it started. Supposedly some guy overheard Stevie G talking about it. It's a pile of the brown stuff IMO
Me as well. Larsson deal nearly done, and his best position is RM. InBruceWeTrust - Where'd you hear Lennon stuff like, i'd love that idea! I heard it was Catts we were selling to Liverpool like, it would make sense as it'd be good for their quota. Wait and see i guess, i've put an article on their board see what the craic is down there end.
George Caulkin on Twitter Scottwilsonecho Scott Wilson by CaulkinTheTimes In response to an avalanche of messages - #SAFC have NOT accepted a bid for Jordan Henderson and nor are they going to. The end.
Just beat me to it!! If caulkin says it ain't happening then the likelihood is that it ain't happening - he's normally spot on
Hes an alright player like but I dont particularly rate the lad, Barton is twice the player. 12.5 mil? Sunderland have got themselves a good deal there if true.
this is an absolute load of ****e, not true i can ategorically confirm that. although i say get rid, overrated ****e
Barton is also 8 years older, and the hype he got isnt his fault, yes he had a really good 3-4 months, then wasnt very good after that, but he is still only young and will learn, you may well point out Rooney at 16 or messi/ronaldo at a young age, but they are exceptions to the rule, not the norm.
Henderson will be going nowhere for 12.5m. Our problem last season was a too thin squad. Selling one of our best young prospects to Liverpool would be madness and 12.5m (based on what they paid for Carroll) is about 15m short anyway. Every player has his price but 12.5m for Henderson is way, way short for a 21 year England International. We will be adding to, not detracting from our squad last season and thats a fact.
Steve - he had a decent season last season at 19 year old - and was doing well at the start of this until Fabio decided to cap him for England then play him in a defensive midfield role alongside Gareth Barry (possibly the worst English international footballer I can remember!!) I think Henderson has a big future here if managed correctly - he was over-played last season and looked so jaded For the record I'd want to keep hold of Hendo and Catts
