"Celtic manager Neil Lennon insists Cardiff City will have to increase their £10m offer for central midfield player Victor Wanyama."

Sounds like Celtic are being a bit greedy, not sure he is worth the 12m price tag Lennon wants.

On local radio yesterday neil lennon said he was happy for wanyama to go to southampton for 10 Mill but others were telling the player not to accept. Sounds more like a greedy agent to me.

It could be the greedy agent whispering in Lennon's ear, only quoting what was in WoL, (i know, don't take anything as gospel that is printed in that rag)

I don't see many other premiership clubs rushing in to get him. only Southampton so far, and that was rejected.

Haven't been on here for a while.
£10m is OTT for this player but if that is what is required to bring him, unless MM has a replacement in mind then Tan should sanction it.
City will need a barnstorming central midfielder in the Yaya Toure mould.
Still concerned no news on some new full backs as McNaughton especially & Taylor will not be up to it.
Could do with a better back up keeper but have to say I am not convinced Marshall will be good enough - he had an easy time last season with high balls into the box; he's bound to be tested in the PL.
Hope City can snare Ince as well.

ninian i dont see wanyama as a barnstorming midfielder. i watched him a few times in the CL next season and i wouldnt pay more than £5-6m on him, i'd rather play mutch than pay £10m for him....<ok>

From what I understand, we (Saints) had a £12.5m offer accepted by Celtic for Wanyama, but we (rightly in my opinion) refused to pay the £1m agents fees. So as long as you can match our offer (again, from what I understand, Celtic rejected your £10m offer - which would make some sense, what with it being lower than ours), then you have a free run at him.

Disgraceful that an agent can demand £1m in fees, whilst having that level of control over a player's future.

£12.5m, don't think he is worth that, they can keep him.

We would like him and most are happy with that price tag. As i understand its the greedy agents demanding 1m that our chairman is not happy with (and rightfully so).

Whats the latest your end? I heard you'd made an improved bid, if your original bid was 10m then you must be close to their valuation. But can you stomach paying those greedy t**ts 1m?

Cardiff to make 2m bid for leicester central defender Wes Morgan. In the Sunday People today.

Would like him to join, been decent for leicester and forest. Not sure if he's any better than what we've got but would be good cover.

Certainly no better than what we have. Don't see the point in buying more of the same.

If us signing Cornelius is a risk, this is a bigger one. Only stepped up to the Championship last December after playing in Blue Square 1 the season before.

I think that's he upfront with add ons for performance, goals, caps etc.

He looked terrific at our place although should have scored at least 3.

Short and nippy, a very different type of player to Cornelius. I wouldn't have minded a punt on him but not at that price and we now have a plethora of strikers of varying shapes and sizes.
