21 yr old right back close apparently, can't link the source was retweeted by chris young from the echo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gino_Peruzzi city linked heavily at the end of the season - is cavanda dead in the water?
Sunderland AFC News And Banter Page: @Capt_Fishpaste Valez Starsfield's 21-year-old right back Gino Peruzzi 'close' to Sunderland move. http://www.ole.com.ar/velez/Peruzzi-hablara-ingles_0_944905549.html … #safc. http://www.ole.com.ar/velez/Peruzzi-hablara-ingles_0_944905549.html Translated - From that blocked the Santos Neymar in the Copa Libertadores, Gino Peruzzi was in the sights of several European clubs. And now that the transfer market is open and Velez and phones started ringing. And the side is one of the players intended from the Old Continent. This was recognized by the club's manager, Christian Bassedas, who said Peruzzi "is the one that is closer to migrate the club." And no, not Inter Javier Zanetti, who had recommended the kid fortinero, the team that would take Peruzzi. Because it seems that the Cordoba just 20 years will play next season in English football. And, although not confirmed, the team is really close to take it over is the Sunderland. These days could be closed transfer.
Don't accept anything is dead in the water yet. We need 4 natural fullbacks 2 left 2 right. Don't want to see center midfielders being used primarily in those position, Gardener should be a squad player next year and Jack will be our utility man.
I think this one may have legs; always a bonus for a footballer. There certainly is a RDF-Inter pattern again and I note that Christian Bassedas is the general manager at Velez and he used to play for a certain unclean shambles up the road, so is likely to give the young lad a clear steer on the passion of football in this part of the world. Not only that but the lad just happens to be the cousin of a certain Angelo Peruzzi (one of only 5 goalkeepers ever to cost more than Mingolet) and his last 2 professional clubs were, ah yes Inter and Lazio. Coincidence? You decide.
Report: Vélez Defender 'Close' To Sunderland Move By michaelgraham It is rarely dull, is it? Have Sunderland identified another full back target? Reports in Argentina suggest that Vélez Sarsfield right back Gino Peruzzi may be the next player to feature on Sunderland's ever-growing shopping list. Argentinian sports paper Olé claims that the 21-year-old - who was strongly linked with Manchester City earlier this summer - could be headed for the exit doors at the Estadio José Amalfitani. Vélez manager, the former Newcastle midfielder Christian Bassedas, is quoted as confirming that Peruzzi is 'close to leaving the club' with Sunderland thought to be his destination. It is difficult to get a guage on any transfer links at the moment considering we are being linked with just about everyone, but the source is a reputable one, and the fact the Argentina international was also said to be interesting Inter Milan adds weight to the story given the Nerazzurri's chief scout at the time, Valentino Angeloni, is now in a similar role on Wearside. It is also worth noting the player holds an Italian passport and is the cousin of former Italy goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi. Just another name tossed into the fray, anyway. You know, just in case you were getting bored.
Newest name is Argentine international Gino Peruzzi and it looks like he could be next, he has even mentioned us.... @SAFCsource Gino Peruzzi: We'll see if the offer from Sunderland for me and it suits us # Vélez . I'd like to go to that club @SAFCsource He's been speaking on local radio in Argentina, as soon as there is a link I will post it. @SAFCsource Gino Peruzzi: from Saturday onwards we will see what is done about my future. (after Velez's match against Newell's) @SAFCsource Gino Peruzzi: The football I like personally is English, by the pace it has. http://www.ole.com.ar/velez/Peruzzi-hablara-ingles_0_944905549.html Peruzzi speak English ... These days may close the transfer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This lad is Argentina's first choice right back and was watched along with Facundo Ferreyra (remember being linked with him around Xmas time?) and Ezequiel ??? (forgot their surname, wasn't Garay or Lavezzi lol) by our new chief scout Angeloni over the last 12months while he was at Inter along with the bid being in for Orban and us still wanting Scocco we could have a few Argies at the club next season! Lets hope they hit the ground running like Arca did
All I know about Peruzzi is he goes on to be top class in FM. For that reason I'm all behind it! If we buy young players we need to give them games to let them develop and realise their potential, be that here or on loan.
Argentine International Talks About Sunderland Interest Gino Peruzzi admits Sunderland's offer is tempting.  After our report yesterday about Gino Peruzzi being 'close' to a move to Sunderland, things appear to be moving along swiftly in regards to this transfer. Yesterday evening a report out of Argentina suggested that a fee had been agreed with Sunderland for around €5m and that Vélez Sarsfield's game against Newell's Old Boys on Saturday could be his last for the club. Then late last night, Gino Peruzzi himself gave an interview with Vélez Radio in which he talked about Sunderland's interest; We'll see if the offer from Sunderland for me suits myself and Vélez. I'd like to go to that club. He then said he would wait until after the Newell's Old Boys match before resolving his future but that the Premier League has his favourite kind of football From Saturday onwards we will see what is done about my future. The football I like personally is the English, because of the pace it has. Peruzzi, despite only being 21, already has four caps for Argentina and was recently linked with Manchester City but notably, Inter Milan, where Javier Zanetti was championing his cause. So if Sunderland can get this transfer over the line, it will be quite the coup.
Di Fanti is the ****ing man like, and PDC is the ****ing man to turn these players into a proper force with his coaching skills. God I hope it falls into place, although Im not expecting miracles next season but we should see signs that the plan is working.
Watched a Velez game not so long ago, no idea who they were playing they won 2-0. Peruzzi seemed to be playing in midfield for that game, got brought off 2nd half for some younger kid, he put in a decent game and linked up well with Lucas Romero for the 20 odd minutes they were on the pitch together. That Farreryra got both goals, looks ok but I wouldn't say he's going to be anything special, poor kid's got some ridiculous competition for a place in the national side. Can't comment on Peruzzi's RB ability though, I've only seen that one game. Zabaleta I believe is Argentina's first choice RB by the way.
Becomes heroic on fm and they had Kompany down to become brilliant when he was 18-19 Young right back, we need a right back...win/win
Not at all Just saying will help to create funds on it if we sign him! Tbf if you look at how they go about rating players its quite in depth, researcher for each team who has to attend all games including reserves and u21s Its quite an operation
