With no football on, I thought we might as well have a Wimbledon thread. Laura Robson has just beaten 10th seed Maria Kirilenko in straight sets(6-3, 6-4), to proceed to the second round. Rather impressive.
Murray was absolutely class yesterday. with Nadal out you can pencil him in for the final against Djok.
I missed Murray, but I did catch Federer smashing that Victor Hanescu feller. I hope he wined and dined him before ****ing him.
Agreed. Shame she had to play the top womens seed. 6-1 6-3 S.W. made short work of her sadly. www.wtatennis.com/players/player/9755/title/mandy-minella
I am not a tennis fan, but there is always something about Wimbledon that gets me watching and enjoying a lot of the games. Laura Robson was awesome today, and Murray yesterday looked well in charge of his game. Would be great to get to Brits into the 2nd week.
I'd do it in the ****ter, You dirty whore , what are you!! Yes a dirty whore, OPPS sorry did i go to far
For any tennis fans that haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend the documentary on Murray on iPlayer at the moment
watched it last night. i still think he's a bit of a miserable cock but now i believe he's not doing it on purpose. he just is a bit of a miserable cock. clearly very well though of by Nadal and Nole and I got the impression they were sincere and not just saying it for the cameras.
I don't think he's miserable, just very introverted and shy. I think it shows by the fact he has a lot of friends in the game that in private he is a good guy. To keep that girlfriend from when he was younger is no small feat as well, she is gorgeous and seemed really nice on the documentary
Really don't think he will, imo he has all the weapons to win this, missing the French albeit disappointing for him personally may have been perfect preparation for him and his tennis at the big events has been phenomenal at times his last 3 grand slams and the Olympics well he's won 2 and been in the final of the other 2. If the crowd gets behind him I 100% believe he'll go one better than 2012 and win.
