Hull city board "this players available but he's got previous, would we sell any shirts?"
Going by threads on the forums I'd take that as a resounding no.…

Crazy think is there is a good chance that if this happened when he was say 24 playing in BPL he would get away with it by some high power legal team.

Latest news is that £5million are about to or have been tabled.

According to some twitter guy KAAgent is keen to do a deal as Anderlecht only offering 4/5millions euros.

According to belgian press, Mboyo would prefer PL to Anderlecht (especially after Benteke, lukaku and co)

I think there's certainly mileage in there.

Putting his past aside I'd be a little more excited by someone like him than an Austin.

To make answering the question easier, how many goals a season are we talking about?

I couldn't give a monkeys as long as such an incident doesn't happen whilst he is contracted to our club.

If he is the difference between relegation and safety with 15+ goals next season than so be it.

    I have no morals :)

I'm sure I read on one of the threads here yesterday that Bruce had publicly stated having some concerns about the player's past.
I certainly do and will admit to the possibility of just not being able to get too excited should he ever actually score.
I'm a bit conflicted here because I understand and would generally support the view that some have expressed, regarding a mans right to "start again" after doing time. I just can't quite get past this sort of crime. I know it's a contradiction and maybe more weight should be given to his young age at the time and of-course I don't know anything about his personal involvement, only that he was convicted.
None of that really helps in clarifying my position I suppose - whatever will be, will be!

The article linking us to him suggests we lost out on Cole and Austin. What's the story there? Haven't heard anything about Cole for nearly a week but yesterday the Austin thing seemed well back on the table again.

Bollocks. If Jimmy Bullard came back and started scoring for fun all would be forgiven and he must be one of the most hated players in City's history! (No, I'm not comparing JB's antics to rape!)

That seems a pretty balanced view. Interesting that the Hooper and Odemwingie rumours seem to have faded out again as well.

Blimey, someone's a bit out of date - that comment is very Eighties! Skodas are basically VWs now - very well constructed motors and much better value than VWs.

(PS: I do not drive a Skoda and am not a Skoda employee.)

They're basically VW's but they aren't. I still don't rate them as cars. And this is coming from a man who drives a Toyota.

Personally most of the football world in Belgium seems to have decided to give him a second chance... he's been quite popular, Anderlecht want him and he's starting to be selected for the Belgium national team. Would you say they have no morals? or greater tolerance.
I'd worry that he's a little bit of a volatile character who will need to be dealt with very specifically but his talent is undeniable apparently (according to the likes of Kompany and Belgium national coach)

At the end of the day, many more famous players have done some pretty awful things and are currently playing in the PL.
I'd definitely have a problem with him if it was quite recent/did it while he was a city player.

However, I just feel that considering he was 16 and he hasn't exactly gotten away with it , spent a few years in jail, was part of a reeducation program where prisoners play football and train, I'd be inclined to give him a second chance.

It's a little bit awkward to think that if he had stabbed another 16 year old people probably wouldn't have as much an issue.

I know his crime is particularly awful but I just feel that at that age many have done some very very stupid things. It's a time where you're troubled and influenceable. Doubt he received much of an education... also he lived in an area of Brussels (used to live in Brussels) that I know pretty well which is 95% african and is just a big ghetto.
We can't know his level of involvement in the matter, all we know is that he hasn't gotten away with it but I personally feel inclined to forgive someone that age. You're not grown up, you make stupid choices or sometimes other people make them for you.
