I think we will splash the cash in the first season because it would be very difficult to stay up with our squad because of shortage of quality and numbers. The Stoke policy in their first season seemed to be sensible. I can't see Hull City spending a lot every year although it will make sense to be buying and selling more expensive players if we get "established".
They'd need to change sports from Rugby League to football and it's a hell of an ask to then survive in the EPL.
IF massive IF i know Hull City can score some goals I am expecting a Southampton-esk type season. We are a far better and more talented and skillful squad than last time. The PL are going to be in for a shock. I can see a few teams worse off than Hull City are now.
Of the 3 i would Love Kone but sadly for us he will end up at Everton imo. Holt and Bent are passed there best but i doubt Bruce is even thinking about them for Hull City. I would sign 3 strikers now. Charlie Austin - Gary Hooper and Billy Sharp. With the chances that we create they should fill there boots.

You just sound petty and small town minded with that constant dripping over something noone else at all in the country cares about. To answer the OP, I think wise spending, good management and solid ownership will see us juuuuust fine.
We're in for Charlie Austin and Gary Hooper, though our bids for both have been rejected so far. I expect we'll stick in increased bids, though we're not sure of we're bidding for both in the hope that one will come off, or we're actually hoping to sign both.
Gary Hooper would be a great signing in my opinion. He definitely has the ability to get 14+ goals next season.
Indeed. With it being a World Cup year as well Hooper will be busting a gut to get a place. England are not blessed with many strikers who can score loads of goals these days either. Well not for England that is.
I imagine it will be quite competitive for Hooper - a number of clubs must surely have him on their radar. What about another Celtic player, Wanyama?
We need three other clubs to perform worst than we do, Newcastle are doing their best to help in this area. We need two more, not beyond us. AND, we do have a bloody good & experienced manager. Think we have a good chance of staying up.
Hang on, Newcastle? Steady on, they're my team! Admittedly with Joe Kinnear there, I fear the worst. Keen to understand how much you guys think is too much to spend on a striker to get the goals you need? £5m? £15m? What about loan signings?
It seems that we're looking at around £4-5m for the strikers(that's each obviously) and I'd expect us to fill our loan spots too.
That makes things very difficult I'd suggest, unless Bruce can weave some magic as he did when at Wigan with Rodallega, Figueroa and Palacios. It certainly means looking overseas and taking a gamble on an unknown prospect.
