Westlife -> Kerry Katona -> Delta Goodrem -> Motherwell -> Celtic

    Bit of a rollercoaster there.

Edit: In case there is any confusion I am on about Leonardo McFadden.

Cardiff are now 1/2 to stay up, Wanyamas a cracking player, but at £12m that's a lot of money for an untried player.

Hopefully by signing Hooper and Davies we're giving ourselves a solid chance of staying up, while also keeping our British quota high.

I'd say Cardiff need a striker just as much as we do. Yes they have Campbell but he's not going to score enough to keep them up. So I hope they do sign this Wanyama as it means a significant chunk of there budget is gone on one player!

If there signing both Wanyama and Ince for the reported £20 million though just how big is there budget?

Isn't that Wanyama already in talks with Southampton?

Massive, their owners are very wealthy and are willing to make Cardiff a PL force according to their fans.

Check this list out to see how much wealth each owner has (it's not complete and it's from last season). It would seem that we're considerably richer than Leicester. Oh dear. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_football_club_owners

No, apparently they broke down weeks ago. Looks like he'll be off to Cardiff.

My only worry about signing Hooper is how well Kris Boyd (SPL God) did in England, failing to make an impact even in the Championship.

Okay, Hooper, is proven in the Championship to at least an equal level as Austin, but who knows if he will be as good now after years of substandard football or if he can even make the step up. Worth a risk though at the right price.

Haha I didn't look at Assem Allams value; I don't think he's ever been worth that much. The Leicester one is right though, their owners are worth about £141m. He's also changed his name to something even harder to spell than before.

Comparing Hooper to Boyd is unfair IMO. Boyd was always a lazy **** who just goal hanged (is that the right word?) all the time waiting for tap ins. Hooper actually grafts.

Can't see us getting both Austin and Hooper unless the Allams increase the transfer budget, or we do brilliantly in the free agent/loan market.

    Davies + Elmo + McGregor = around £6m.

We're looking at around £8.5m to add both strikers - that makes £14.5m. We could do with another midfield enforcer, a backup keeper and a covering winger or two on top of that - how far can we expect the Allams to stretch?

I don't see all the calls for an enforcer, meyler is perfectly equipped for this division, you don't need to be as big and tough in the premiership as you do mobile and a good tackler which Meyler is. If we're going to sign one central midfielder I'd say we should prioritise a creative force as I don't think Koren will be able to manage 90 minutes game after game at this level anymore.

I asked this question earlier, it depends if the budget takes into account the full fee we pay, or just what we need to pay straight off up front. Some fees for players can be staggered over quite a period of time.

It says LeBron James owns Liverpool. Isn't he a top US basketball player?

EDIT: Just googled and apparently it's true...

Agree about the SPL but he is proven at Championship level just as much as Austin is and he's also scored goals in Europe. He seems like one of those players to me who can just score goals regardless of the level. I'd love it if we signed him.
