If Davies, McGregor, Austin and Hooper are confirmed (here's hoping), how would you line your team up? Here's mine playing 4-4-2 McGregor Rosenior / McShane Davies Chester Figueroa Elmo Koren Meyler Brady Austin Aluko Subs: Oxley / Other? Faye McShane / Rosenior Evans Quinn Hooper Boyd
----------------Keeper--------------- -------Chester - Davies - Figgy------- -Elmo--------------------------Brady- ---------Meyler-----Evans------------ ---------------Boyd----------------- ----------Aluko ---- Hooper----------
On Fantasy Island, Bale would be in my starting line up, along with Messi and Pirlo. As I ain't then: Kasper Figgy Chessy Davies Dudge Elmo Meyler Quinn Brady Boyd Aluko
McGregor Rosie Chester Davies Figueroa Elmo Meyler DM(Cattermole?) Brady Aluko Hooper\Austin Oxley Dudge Hobbs Koren Quinn Boyd Fryatt
-------------------McGregor -------Chester----Davies----Figuero Elmo----Meyler---New DM---Quinn----Brady ------------Austin/Hooper---Aluko
Yeah I'd go with this as things stand although a new cm is needed to replace either Meyler or Evans, pref 2 midfielders to replace them both
Impossible to say at the moment UNTIL Steve Bruce has completed his business. But IF we get the players we are supposed to be getting then when all are fit you will be hard pressed to beat this line up in the 3 - 5 - 2 formation. McGregor(?) Chester Davies Figueroa Elmohamady Meyler(c) Quinn Brady Aluko (in the hole) Hooper(?) and Austin(?) what a bench choice that will leave.
That's VERY attacking Frenchy! Wouldn't you have a more defensive player next to Meyler? ----------------McGregor---------------- -----Chester----Davies-----Figueroa------ ----------Meyler-----Cattermole----------- Elmo-----------Aluko---------------Brady-- ----------Austin----Hooper---------------- I think that looking at Swansea for eg we've got to stick to our principles next season and take the games to everyone we play. I can't stand another season of us ****ting ourselves every game and playing 4-6-0!! I'd take that starting XI to take us into the season any day of the week - there's some real pace and quality in that team and would leave a strong bench: GK, Rosie, Hobbs, Koren, Quinn, Evans, Proswitch. That still leaves the likes of McShane (if he's not on then bench in place of Hobbs), Dudge, Faye, Bruce, Boyd, Fryatt (if still here), Cairney (see Fryatt) who can't even get in the matchday squad
------//--------McGregor Rosenior Chester Davies Figeuroa ----------Cattermole Meyler -----------Elmo Aluko Brady ------------------Hooper GK Hobbs, Dudgeon, McShane, Evans, Koren, Boyd, Austin.
In some games maybe. But against the BIG 7 that is the team i would play as those games are FREE HITS. If we have the ball we dont need to defend. Lol. When we go to places such as Stoke and West Ham then we shall need the likes of Faye, McShane, Rosenoir as an example,, who like the more physical side of the game shall we say ?
Using my best FM skills McGregor - GK Figueora - LB Chester -CB Davies -CB Rosenior - RB Brady - LM Meyler - CM (Ball Winning Midfielder) Quinn - CM (Advanced Playmaker) Elmo - RM Aluko (In behind) Hooper Subs: Jakupovic, Bruce, McShane, Boyd, Evans, Austin, Montero I'd be happy with that team against Chelsea - think we'd need a 4 man midfield to cope with Oscar, Hazard, Lampard, Ramires and the like. Aluko likes to drop deep to pick up the ball, which might suit us on the counter, maybe swap Montero and Elmo if we want a bit more pace on the right hand side.
Yeah, I was trying to be realistic as possible (obviously leaving Hooper as potentially being Austin or another). We could certainly do with another DCM, but I think that Evans is our best defensive option in there at the moment (and I'd like to see him have a chance). I really like Quinny, but you need someone a bit more like Evans in there.
