Rumours on Twitter are that Liverpool plan to sell Henderson to purchase Victor Wanyama from Celtic⦠Would anyone take him back?
It's in the Echo. To hear we should get back Bent, Phillips, Henderson, Sorenson and the like is annoying. If we wanted to keep them we should have done so at the time. Their time at SAFC has been and gone. For me no.
I would, tell the bindippers we want him as part of the mig deal or they can fook reet off, england international why aye i would
Not many of us would want him to go as he's a good player and works hard but if he does move on good luck to him.
He's only just starting to show the form he showed for us. I think his development has slowed 2 years since he went there. I'd have him but he's no more than a 7m player at the moment, he was no more than a 7m player when we sold him. We need more box to box midfielders but I'd hope we could get better.
It will be some pay off that Liverpool will have to give him to persuade him to go, coz Celtic don't pay the kind of wages he will be on
This, but he'd still walk into our team as the squad stands, hopefully we sign a quality attack minded central midfielder to play along side n'dai/cabral
If I need a rabbit to stand in my headlights I drive down a country lane, or visit pets at home. That saves me spending millions I ain't got. Make of that what you will. The lad has developed a lot in the last year, and is a tidy and decent player, what he STILL doesn't do, is what he NEVER did. He doesn't control games, he doesn't fight enough, and he doesn't produce enough. Sess out Jordan in and we can start making plans for seeing some of them old grounds we used to pack out every 2 years on a promotion party.
Still young enough to become a really decent player, so yes, if the price was right. Trouble is, they'd want silly money having paid a huge fee for him and his wages might be a bit rich 'n all.
Couple of pool mates who've seen many live games towards the latter half of the season said he improved massively. Their view was that he was intimidated by playing alongside SG and seemed to excel once SG was injured and stepped out of his shadow. They really rate him and will be gutted he's leaving. Don't think there's any chance of him coming back, even if we wanted him - we just aren't glamorous enough for players wanting to play for England.
He's looked a lot lot better since Rodgers started playing him centrally. Dalglish really set him to fail playing him on the wing. Great engine, great attitude, decent passer, decent finisher... Young and will get better and more confident. Hope it's with us.
