The transfer window is in full swing and nothing gets fans more excited than the sight of a new signing pictured in Liverpool's kit for the first time. With that in mind, we raided our archives for some classic snaps of LFC's new boys from over the years.

The Reds have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, signing Sevilla's Luis Alberto as well as agreeing deals in principle for Kolo Toure and Iago Aspas.

Over the years, Liverpool have made numerous high-profile moves during transfer windows, bringing in world-class stars from around the globe.

We delved into our photo libraries to dig out some iconic shots of new signings arriving at the club.

Who can indentify every player here? From memory - no cheating now...

 

2 replies this thread is doing well. I thought the Beardsley pic was brilliant it reminded me of Lou and Andy from Little Britain.

That's not Henchoz and I don't know who the last one is either, I agree with the rest.

 

Westerveld, Smicer, Camara, Ziege? Hyypia and Meijer?

Pegguy Arphexed! What a legend. Bernard Diomede is the one next to him I think...remember flogging him for 50k every new game on champ manager! He was absolutely ****e, did he even play in the first team?

Cracking job Roy.

 

You got the two most infamous.
Arphexad - 99 games as unused sub. Just one short of the kind of arse-collecting-splinters record no-one would ever want.
Diomede - 2 games, 2 assists, then one knee injury and his career was history. £3mil, back in the days when £3mil was a lot of wedge...
Barmby - as someone euphemistically said, "Even bottletops can shine in ****." so we picked up the only bottletop in Goodison and took him home...

 

Just imagine the amount we spent on wages for Cole & Jovanovic...

 

Look at the ****ing state of that lot

 

doesn't even include Poulsen and Konchesky.
