there is no chance of this happening. all the fans hate him. remember all that jimmy saville crack at the derby? i dont think he would be that ready to make it a full house of the north easts top teams
i googled it and all it came up with was him. there must have been some in pre 50's but i couldnt tell you who
This story is ****e, however, I am still dismayed that we are even considering selling Catts. This wont end in a happy ending guys I'm telling you. We are gambling EVERYTHING that ALL the foreign signings pay off instantly. If they don't we are selling plan B and will be ****ed beyond belief.
I like catts as well mate, but he just doesn't play enough games for us. He's been here 4 years now and his appearance rate isn't improving. If he was fully fit with his injury problems behind him of course he would be retained. I would be tempted to cash is this summer.
My big fear though Apone is the new faces don't gel immediately and we will need the likes of Catts to help everyone bed in and the added competition will spur him on imo. Catts was a massive miss for us last season in the middle and I rate the lad hugely. I would lose Vaughan and McClean in a heartbeat but not this lad. I'll be gutted to see him go at his peak.
I'd rather scratch my eyes out with rusty spoons than have Clatts! Fortunately, a soiled rag is more trustworthy than the posted source!
Yeh I'd go with this as well we still need players to gel the team together and catts would do that well
Suppose he did go there, and strung a few performances that he is well capable of, how soon until they changed their tune?
While I agree it's a gamble mate I don't think you can completely write off a happy ending at this point. Remember we were all sure of a happy ending When MON signed. Somethings work, some don't. Let's just hope this works.
As i've said on many other threads, i like the kid, he's my type of player but he's been with us for 4 years now, Played 87, Booked in 34, Red Carded 5 Times, it's just not good enough for a premier league club captain. As much as i like him his record speaks for itself. I can see the value of keeping him to help the transition of new blood but that's a very expensive baby sitter to have on the books.
Don't sell catts for me he's had his op now and I'm hoping his injurys are behind him, one of our best players IMO.
