I honestly went to mexico years ago, and we were asked if we wanted to go to a bul run and bull fight..it was the night that Hollyfield fought Tyson/ Bruno and got robbed..cant remember.. We refused and told the organiser that we hoped some of those torturing the bull actually got hurt and died..because the bull was slaughtered after.. Absolutely disgusted at animal cruelty. Each to their own but just happy when the hunted get a bit of payback ! IMHO !
Noticed some of the bulls had ropes attached. Is this health and safety starting to intervene so they can reign in the amount of damage the bulls can do? Once went past a bull fight arena after it had finished and they were bringing the bull carcasses out one by one using the digger on a JCB. Very sad to see.
The propensity for stupidity of some human beings beggars belief! However, of equal wonder is the ability of the human body to be struck by a one tonne creature and simply get up and try again. I wonder what the hunter / gatheres of yesteryear would have made of that?!!
Speaking as someone who's not averse to a bit of huntin', shootin' and fishin', I am sure I'm not alone in finding this stuff barbaric. There's something unpleasant about certain aspects of Spanish culture, such as bullfighting and chucking goats out of bell towers. Still, I suppose some might point at fox hunting as a UK equivalent. If those macho guys get hurt doing this stuff, then they get no sympathy from me. I notice the poor old bull doesn't have anybody rushing up to him to see if he's OK, as is the case for his taunters. I don't doubt that once all have had their fun the bull is despatched without so much as a moment's reflection.
Nice, happy, wholesome thoughts there, 'Totally' .................... just tried to give you some 'rep' but need to spread first. Keep up the positive spin.
