Sunderland have ditched the midfielder due to his poor discipline, sparking a £4million fight between Hull City Manager Steve Bruce and new Stoke Manager Mark Hughes. Cattermole has made 87 Appearances for Sunderland picking up 34 yellow cards and 5 red cards
If we go for him we won't want to pay more than £2m and you guys won't want to sell him for that, our transfer dealings are based on a strictly no overspending basis and with his injury/disciplinary record £4m won't be considered value for money. Unlikely we'll be that interested anyway as our midfield is fairly full as it is, in fairness we could do with a DM but only if it's a fairly cheap price, free agent or loan. Typical lazy journalism linking Bruce to a Sunderland player given that we've signed Meyler and are about to sign Elmo.
Seems about right mate. Good start with Figeroua, he'll do a good job, I reckon Bruce will keep you up, and have several wagers with a Hull supporting mate! Guess your our next derby after the horse harmers now...
**** me, I never realised his record was that poor, 87 Games played, Booked 34 and Red Carded 5, ****ing hell that's shocking by anyones standards.

I agree with his disciplinary record to an extent as he's made himself a referee target but hasn't he only had one or two straight reds? There's no denying that when he's been sent off for two yellows, often one of the yellows wasn't even a booking.
Refs look out for him aswell, how many times have we said "if that had been catts, he would have been off" 100's
Its so much mroe easy to get 2 yellows these days just for tackling tough. 30 years ago after 200 games there would have been players with 20+ sendings off. 6 reds is not excessive at all imo and he has received at least 2 or 3 for ridiculous decisions too. I think we will certainly rue selling this lad and it will come back and bite us. He is in the peak of his career imo so unless someone has just made us an offer we cant refuse for him (say over a double your money £12m) then why sell him? He should be a perfect fit in the PDC world?
Fair enough Cest you make a good point but there's no one else at Catt's age from this era on that list.
Yeah good point but if some of those sly (two yellows) sending offs were rightly never issued then he wouldn't even be on the list would he?
