QPR transfer news: Taraabt offered France return QPR attacking midfielder Adel Taraabt could be set for a departure from Loftus Road QPR midfielder Adel Taraabt (Action Images) by Patrick Jennings 21st June 2013 11:40am BST Exclusive Adel Taraabt could be set for a return to France, as the player's discipline problems at QPR alert potential suitors. As QPR manager Harry Redknapp prepares his squad for an assault on the Championship title next season, speculation is mounting over Taraabt's future at the club. Moroccan attacking midfielder was fined £60,000 last month for turning up late to training successive times and his refusal to address QPR coaches' concerns over his weight. Taraabt is under contract at Loftus Road until 2016 and although QPR are therefore under no pressure to force a sale, the Loftus Road hierarchy may feel it best to move the player on. It now appears Redknapp, who has long been a proponent of Taraabt's enormous potential having worked with the player at Tottenham Hotspur, is losing patience with the Moroccan midfielder and would be open to a transfer. The attacking midfielder may be able to command a substantial fee from France, where he emerged as a bright young talent at Lens. Taraabt has previously attracted interest from top Ligue 1 sides such as Paris Saint-Germain. Another possible destination for Taraabt is Monaco, where mega-rich Russian billionaire owner Dmitri Rybolovlev is currenlty financing the assembly of a side capable of mounting a title challenge next year. The 2004 Champions League finalists will return to the French top flight in August, after having earned promotion as Ligue 2 champions last season and have already snapped up a raft of top European players including Falao, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho in deals totalling over £110 million.
Adel, in this instance. Quite frankly I can't think of a manager who will fare any better with him with his mindset. We can't change managers every season to try and find one to suit him.
Not a single quote or new piece of information. Maybe we should create a new rule for this forum that no so-called news items are allowed to be passed on without one or both of these. And well done to the usual suspects for miraculously twisting this into another anti-Redknapp piece somehow. It's going to be a long season unless people start to deal with the reality of our managerial situation.
I hope we keep him of course but reading NW's and watching the idiot BBC in Brazil where they are praising Neymar for flicks and nutmegs What chance does Adel have at QPR? He is a better player than bloody Neymar yet the BBC are having kittens about Brazil Anyone else think Brazil look poor ? This is exactly what the media do by building up a player Adel showed more touches of skill last season yet they slag him off He is Moroccan that's all I can think off I have to say the BBC are dreadful now at football and sorry but Zbrazil are **** IMO
Pure genius Neymar? ML and JP need to be retire I am seriously sick of this hype the game is in ruins IMO if the world looks at Neymar being the best
Have to say Dave I watched the last 20 mins of the first half Brazil/Italy and found it as boring as hell.....now switched over to watch some golf.....
I am a great fan of Adel and would be sad if he left especially as we have to give Spurs 40% of any sale.
DT ...have to agree with you mate. Brazil had some good players but it seems like the rest of the world is catching up very fast. Not amazed by Neymar although I certainly would turn him down if he moved to us. Not gonna debate Adel situation. Be intresting to see if there is a shred of truth to the orig news report? Not having a dig Kiwi
Sounds like his has ballooned in weight to match his ego ................... surely not possible. Again, my personal thoughts mean squat, whatever is best for the club is my thinking.
