Worth its own thread I feel as there will be so much opinion. Mine for what it is worth is that DINKUM DIAMOND @ 25-1 is stunning value. Three weeks ago in the Epsom Dash he ran DUKE OF FIRENZE to half a length. OK D of F covered the last furlong weaving in and out but Dinkum Diamond reopposes on seven pounds better terms tomorrow. Seven pounds over sprint distances is worth around 3 lengths so at the prices its obvious to me which is the value. My only misgiving is the trip. Dinkum has always been regarded as a speedball and five furlongs has been his trip. He has only tried six on a few occasions. However, he is five now and I think he has strengthened up enough to be worth a crack at this trip on a pretty fair track. Another big positive for me is the draw. In 15 this gives Gannon an easy opportunity to a) get him covered up early and b) race him on the side they really fancy. He has seemed to take a liking to Gannon and she is very strong for a lass and the yard is in very decent form. How he gets dropped 2lbs for an Epsom Dash third is beyond me but I hope he can make it pay! 25-1 BOG with Bet365 and five places, well worth a punt in my humble opinion. There will now follow 27 different views as regards the winner..... For the rest of Saturday racing
Well done Stick with the seperate thread!!! So many with chances and basically a bit of a lottery as bound to have a few hard luck stories. I am on Louis the Pious who I think will go well... wind op will eek some improvement and I was quite taken with his comeback run. Runs well in big fields and I am on at 18/1. e.w 5 places. Also having a smallish e.w nibble at Rebellious Guest. I m surprised to see this one avbailable at 50/1. Good jockey booking and the trainer has always held this horse in the highest regard. Highly tried as a juvenile too. I am on e/w 5 places
Mass Rally for me, beat Nocturn LTO and is 3lb better off with him this time yet Nocturn is 12/1 and Mass Rally is 25/1, also agree with Captainpops on Louis the Pious so ive backed both e/w, 1 from each side of the track
Impossible task but I'm plumping for Rex Imperator I've indexed this thread from the Daily thread. and vice versa
Any one of them can win, can't they? Mind you, you could say that about the Hardwicke, and the Chesham. Hardest day of a bloody hard week, so why not focus on a huge field 6f handicap? Gabriel's Lad seems to have form with half this field, was tough as teak as a 3yold, and ran well enough on his re-appearance at Newmarket last month to suggest he could continue to improve off his current mark. The trainer has apparently been doing a rain dance, but he has form on all sorts of ground and no one's been complaining about the racing surface this week. He has the assistance of a certain Mr K Fallon, which won't be a bad thing. It's always worth backing one on each side of the track in these cavalry charges so you have a chance of backing a phantom winner, ahead of his own group but 5th past the post. 3/4 of a length behind Gabriel's Lad at Newmarket last time was the Hannon's Poole Harbour, quietly fancied by the trainer apparently, and assisted by the 5lb claim of Twiston-Davis the younger. On another note, ATR have worked a nice little flanker securing the services of Alistair Downe for the week. CH4s loss is the free-to-air specialist channel's very definite gain.
You're travelling from Germany to Dorset just to watch the wokingham? Bloody hell Swanny. Ironically, having written that childish rubbish I now have to say that my pick is Shropshire
Zero Money - High draw, finished 2 and a half behind Nocturn LTO and is now 5lbs better of. That was his seasonal debut and im delighted with the jockey booking as he has ridden him before for his old trainer. 40/1
Thanks guys, never really been interested in flat racing as a betting medium but my fiver eway on this ensured I made some profit on the meeting
