What happened to Thomas Chippendale was a tragedy for everyone associated but we have to accept that these things happen. I remember when tragedy befell Rewilding in the King George and I think that just as then there is very little room for the animal rights nutters to work as the horse was bred to race. In that respect, I think that Jim McGrath and the others in the Ch4 studio might have paused and thought for a few seconds before commenting; they do not need the oxygen of free publicity. I had left that race alone as I would have been prepared to look at Mount Athos over what was an inadequate trip but the odds were too short. I have done Society Rock in the Diamond Jubilee. He is my last bet of the meeting and if he wins then I will have won on the week; otherwise it is a break even after Somewhat lost the other half of my profits in the opener.
