Not neccessarily the best but I saw the buzzcocks at the brixton Fridgae last night. They really were excellent given it's nearly 40 years since they were at their peak!
done a fabulous all nighter with the buzzcocks after they played Glasgow one time - I didn't even go to the gig but got talking to them at the art school later - thence back to their hotel where they bought all the drinks cause we couldn't get served as we weren't guests. Shelley constantly trying to chat up a mate of mine who had no idea pete shelley is gay was particularly funny. steve diggle was an absolute gent of a man I have to say. Quite a surreal night because we went back there in full punkish hedonistic drug addled mode and the hotel was also hosting the Scottish footballer of the year bash at the same time. I can report that a) pete sheley wears white sport socks. Not very punk. b) I have stood beside walter smith while we both had a pish at the urinals and he has a very small willy.
Saw the Buzzcocks at my local venue in darlington, bloody good show. Also, if we're on punk, Anti-Nowhere League were fantastic.
