I expect Brady and Aluko to be more important for us than all of those players next season

    Altidore was pants here.

Not quick, not dominant in the air, touch of a rapist etc

    Massive disappointment after the hype

Can't imagine he's suddenly developed the killer touch.

Should be ideal for SAFC, the big spending underachievers.

For a big lad he wasn't strong enough back then. Got bullied off the ball all the time and just bounced off oppos defenders when he tried to run past. Almost certainly, time will have improved those aspects of his game.

Scored a nice goal against Man Citeh.

Eclipsed by the time he took his nut to Alan Hutton. His last act in a City shirt.

Everyone should nut Alan Hutton. A real, real turd.

Oh, can I just use this thread to voice my opinion that Paulo Di Canio is a **** manager and he will take Sunderland down?

    Good. Thanks.

He's gonna piss off every last member of that squad, and his staff, and destroy everything in his single-minded pursuit of media attention for his quirky personality.

That's the most important thing to Paulo if you ask me, attention for himself.

Mourinho's back, he will eclipse Paulo will a fraction of the effort.

    Just my opinion!

I think Di Canio like Roy Keane and a lot of really great players cant work with inferior players who arent as single minded as they were.

I think the same can be said for Sunderland. Escaped relegation by the skin of your teeth last year and losing players like Mignolet. Will Di Canio be able to attract players good enough to keep you up?

I think Sunderland will be decent next season when paulo brings in a few of his own players.

I met a commercial management worker at Sunderland earlier in the year - asked him who has been the biggest pain in the arse. I quote:

"I don't think it's right to name any names, but then again, Alan Hutton doesn't deserve my protection. Don't get me started."

I have to say I wouldn't be at all unhappy if we made a serious attempt to get Jozy in.
Failing that, I hope we have a realistic shot at Bent.
I really just don't want Mboyo. I get all the arguments about redemption after serving time but I think I would personally find supporting him pretty difficult and uncomfortable.
I would actually rather have Cole.
Not sure if I missed something along the way, but what has happened with Odemwingie - is he still on the market?

Jozy won't come back to us and Bent is even less likely.

Nothing like a bit of empathy to build team spirit! Fans, Manager, Players and directors all pulling in different directions. Sunderland's recipe for sure fire success.

Difficult to understand why the players are discontented. Lol.

I concur, no chance of us landing Bent he is on a massive wage plus Villa want 8 million for him which considering we are baulking at paying half that for Hooper/Austin, it is never going to happen.

i read yesterday somewhere, that us , newcastle and another team had made an aproach for bent. Apparently the stumbling block is wages, as each club is only prepared to pay 50k a week. I'm amazed we are prepared to consider paying that. Wasnt aware of the 8m price tag my mate who follows villa thought it was 4m as villa want him to go. Tbf hooper and austin are not proven prem scorers , unlike bent.
