What on earth are you on about? I'm not particularly a fan of Redknapp and don't really understand what his perception of the world is. Perhaps you could post some of his recorded views on the state of society and the world and I'll let you know. Struggling to understand what "the right sort" means.
On the subject of Joe Kinnear's appointment, Shearer's had a right old pop at the Newcastle establishment: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22982306
I've been on a motivational management course given by Sir Clive Woodward. Having met the guy - its true he had a massive ego, but he had some great ideas about motivation and teamwork. His concept of 'teamship rules' and outcome, performance and process goals for players I can see transferring well from Rugby to football. I would guess while he couldn't contribute to the football tactics and general management he could definitely add something to the 'team'.
They've now removed Shearer's name from the bar at the ground too. Renamed the bar "#9's" rather than "Shearer's".
