Bet the reporters can't wait for the fun press conferences... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_NQqnc_ue0
Is it me or do some of the comments from Kinnear really allude to this? "I'm a more experienced manager than anyone at the club, I get final say in transfers, I'll say if people at the club arent good enough" etc, etc. One of them - and I'm guessing Pardew - will be gone by Christmas.
So when are we getting Dolan back as Dof, it would be as logical. Let's be honest Mr ashley knows nothing about football, can someone remind me which job he gave Dennis Wise. And as for the "more experienced" that does not equate to the "most successful". Can we have Newcastle first game please, as their season is a car crash waiting to happen. And if Pardew does leave - is there any top class manager who would want to go to a club which is being run as a joke
Hope SB sees a video of Kinnear before his 1st heart attack.Big gut in pre season.Age and guts and stress do not go together.Sincerely hope SB can see the need to get himself fit for the Prem
I can see this ending in tears and sackings. Newcastle dont half know how to piss people off. Maybe it would have been better to put the money the clueless J.K. is getting paid towards Darren Bent. ?
Even funnier, and quoted from the SSN interview with Joe Kinnear yesterday afternoon. Joe K. ""I am in charge of all players in and out, nobody else."" ""The manager (alan pardew) will be in charge of all team selections and tactics"". Make of that what you will.
Thought that was what a coach was for - if JK is acting all Billy Big (rude word) on his first couple of days, it will only get worse. Thank the Lord that Papa steered well clear of him when looking for a new manager
It also gives Alan Pardew the perfect excuse when it all turns to sh.it and it will do at some point. Can we have Newcastle as our 1st away game please ? Lol. Indeed me also. What a plonker Kinnear is.
I thought he was quite good in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, though his daughter was rather annoying.
Some Toon fans think they would be better off with Roy Kinnear actually and he is Long Since Gone.....Dead. Lol.
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/...astle-deal-kinnear-never-heard-130456837.html **** me it;s like 2008 all over again. 'Cockney mafia out' The hysterical geordies will be preparing for more oestrogen-drenched protests and horse-punching. I would love it, just love it , if we go there on 21 Sept and win for the third successive time.
All the players seemed to hate Kinnear except for Steven Taylor, whose actually defended it. But he's a tosser himself.
Can't stand Pardew since the Charlton game at the KC but the appointment of gobshite Kinnear at 66 years old is a complete joke and one that can only harm Newcastle United. Just when you think there's a period of stability at St James's Park that idiot Ashley fooks up gain - unless its part of a master plan to get rid of Pardew. Also has Llambias resigned because even he can't stomach anymore of this pantomime.
It makes me laugh because I have many mates that have moved down here from Newcastle, and can't stand it when I mention the torrid time they're beloved Club is currently going through! First, they get relegated (at the expense of us), they have a great Championship Season (as expected) and return to the Premier League. Pardew leads them to a solid finish and then to Europe the following Season. Now begins the series of mistakes: 1) Pardew replaces top scorer Demba Ba with fellow Senegal striker Papiss Cissé, pushing Ba out wide and making him unhappy and eventually leaving for Chelsea (I know the latter happens after the next couple of points). 2) Alan Pardew is given a ludicrously long contract because of short-term success. 3) The Club decide to agree a deal with "Wonga" as their shirt sponsor, angering many of the Muslim players (Tioté, Ben Arfa, Cissé etc) 4) Newcastle hire former Manager Joe Kinnear as Director of Football, meaning he will travel with the first team to games and be in meetings with Pardew about transfers and other Club affairs to then address Mike Ashley directly (allegedly up to now anyway). Point number 4 is a very funny and strange one indeed. It will be interesting to see what Pardew has to say, and more importantly what he actually does because of this. There's been reports that the Club are attempting to make him resign so they don't pay his alleged £15-£20m compensation for sacking him. All entirely speculation of course. There was obviously the "renaming" of St. James' Park to the SportsDirect.Com Arena but as they've changed it back, that seemed pointless, though that probably added to the anger of the fans
Great appointment for the rest of the Premier League! This will hopefully mean Newcastle will be in total disarray as they were when we went there just after Keegan got the boot.
Surely Pardew's supposed 8 year contract must have a sort of rolling contract built into it - this isn't the 1960s when the likes of Cliff Britton was given a ten year contract by big Aitch after all..
