I could have sworn Morgan was over 6ft. He carries himself well.

I'm pretty sure this is the same guy who is convinced that 9-11 was an inside job, so I'd take his posts with a pinch of salt

Perceptive members will have noticed that we dropped a lot of points that we shouldn't have last season, partly down to not having good options on the bench. So there's no Davis or Cork or Ward-Prowse decision to be made - we need more than 11 good players if we want to finish in the top half.

PS If Morgan got injured last season, I reckon we would have gone down.

Indeed, and it's not just about options on the bench, but almost more importantly - rotation, rotation, rotation!

Wanyama and Schnederlin behind Banega, in turn behind Rodriguez, Ramirez and Lambert (or Lallana, Puncheon or Stoch potentially) would be pretty bloody exciting!

Yep that's why we are looking at players that wouldn't look out of place in our first team instead of just back up.

it is too good for the old Saints mentality, but not too good for the "Nicola Project"

Exactly, with the pressing game we play Jack and Morgan will be worn out by Christmas if we don't rest them.

It's about having the strongest possible 25 man squad so that we can deal with resting players, injuries, loss of form and have options tactically.

It isn't about just eleven players
