Well I am pleased with that! Just hope he behaves himself and pays the club the respect it deserves. Well done Hughes!

...and the rest mate, the type of winger we would need (Adam Johnson or Jarvis type) would be circa 10 million plus 50k a week. Excellent bit of business which in effect as cost us fuk all, we know what he is capable of - good and bad!

  8. I like Pennant, he's a cracking little player when he wants to be, he just needs to keep his head down and stop falling out with managers!

    Gerrez,

I think that Pulis could fall out with himself, hopefully under Hughes we will get the best of him.

Great news, and if we get one of the 2 left backs we're apparently after, the squad would still need some improving, but that should give us better shape and balance.

JERMAINE PENNANT became Mark Hughes’ first signing as Stoke boss — then aimed a stinging attack on Tony Pulis

Less than a month after being binned at the Britannia, the controversial winger, 30, was back and in fighting mood

The ink was not dry on his new one-year deal when he launched his tirade on Pulis — described by owner Peter Coates as “Stoke’s greatest-ever manager”.

    In a fierce blast Pennant

Accused Pulis of under-achieving at the Britannia.
Claimed Hughes will guarantee Stoke the top-10 status Pulis could not manage in five seasons.
Blamed Pulis for deliberately freezing him out and insisted the club’s powerbrokers secretly sided with him against Welshman Pulis.
Pennant ended last season on loan but was not even able to get in a Wolves side that was relegated.
Yet he added: “With the old manager, things didn’t work out.
“But getting a new contract shows that I wasn’t to blame. It shows the faith Stoke have in me. The club have always wanted me to stay, speaking to the hierarchy.
“But that’s done and dusted, it’s a new era now.
“We’ve got a new manager in and hopefully now we can take that big step forward.
“We should be a top-10 team with the players we’ve got and hopefully, with Mark’s attributes, we can be.”

Hope you are enjoying yourself Potts, we all knew what Pulis was like or at least suspected, this is one of the reasons that i'm so much more optimistic now.
