http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...castle-transfers-danny-simpson-poised-1960910 Newcastle's Danny Simpson is ready to sign for Harry Redknappâs Queens Park Rangers - after travelling to London for a medical. The former Manchester United right-back will join the Rangers push for instant promotion back to the Premier League after picking the Hoops ahead of other rivals. Simpson is a free agent after his contract at the Geordies expired, and will pick up a decent deal at Loftus Road as a consolation for dropping out of the top flight. Redknapp has had trouble with the right-back position, which was manned by Jose Bosingwa and Nedum Onuoha in the Rs' relegation season. Simpson wanted to return to his native north-west, but the chance to go to London and team up with Redknapp has swayed him.
No question we need a right back which will allow Onouha stay in the middle & with something to prove so worth a punt IMO.
Solid player, promoted with Newcastle, so.................. has been there, done that, got the T shirt. But surely a bit young for us (26)
Hopefully the idea is to get more action out of Bosingwa ... like a sprint towards the door marked "exit".
Agreed ................ Great stuff. I know bugger all about him but he is young, keen, on a free and wants to play for Harry. Now, if we can get the rest of the team thinking the same way, where off to a positive start!
According to Wiki, he played 19 league games and 7 in Europe for 'Castle last season and was a regular the previous two seasons. Probably got dropped after the Frog-invasion!
I asked the Newcastle board about him when we were linked last year, they reckoned solid at the back, poor distribution, offers nothing going forward.
sb73哇,你可以得到的wi-fi在日本。太神奇了!
