I saw them plenty Beth and stand with my own opinion on football .. Stan and Rodney of course i love but neither would be able to play in today's game. Adel's all round game and his work rate even! is much better than both our great legends. All three are great but Adel for me is the best number 10 Marsh and Pele ... well sorry but at the time that was just English paper talk and ask yourself who remained a world legend ... it wasn't Marsh. Taarabt has more skill and vision and I believe both Bowles and Marsh have been quoting at agreeing that ... the truth why Adel has his critics ... poor attitude for sure ... it's not British you know syndrome plus alas he is Moroccan ... If Giggs and Bale were English then they would be the best players of all time? I bet if you asked a panel of footballers aged over last 50 years who the best brit ever was: Paul Scholes possibly was but we have forgotten him a little ... weird how we build our legends IMO
It is impossible to compare Rodney, Stan & Adel and others who have graced the No 10 shirt....Wegerlie, Stainrod, Currie et al.....What I will say is that is has been a joy and honour to watch these players play for little old QPR. Rod and Stan will always be above the rest IMO due to the era they played in, mud heaps of pitches, kicked up in the air by Norman Hunter, Tommy Smith, Ron Harris and others, a ball that didn't move in the air like a beach ball....they had to try so much harder to entertain. Adel does have sublime skill and it is easier for him to produce his skills as he will not be kicked into row Z every time he gets the ball, plus he doesn't come out of the bookies 10 minutes before ko!!!!! Have wonderful memories of Rod & Stan and we should enjoy Adel for as long as we have him at our club...
