OT - The Sweet Stuff

If your club was a sweet, what sweet would it be and why?

 

Leeds United = Spangles

i.e. Big in the seventies, not heard of these days.

 

Grimsby = Humbug -they looked promising once, then they suck and suck, get spat out and end up some years later down the back of the sofa.

 

Quite a few clubs would be wine gums on account of their fans never stopping whining about something or other.

 

I think my sweet for the Tigers ...

Would be Cough candy twists or Licorice ..... I don't know why I like them but I do and can't stop liking them.

 

I was waiting for the immortal Forrest Gump "life's like a box of chocolates" quote and linking it to City, as you do never know what you're going to get.

 

I think we are bounty stay up this season

 

Most teams were taller than us last season so :
Midget gems.
Leicester - whine gums.always whining and no real teeth.

 

Obvious answer for Everton us Toffee but you can get Everton mints.

 

I was thinking Milk Tray for City, exact reasons you stated too plus I still love them!

I love that first Leeds one compared to Spangles too, totally forgot about them too!

 

You don't think that's maybe how they got their nickname then?
