Yes, we are linked with moving to sign Marlon King. Well, we know how "awesome" he was when he came here before! Thoughts?
He was played on the wing last time if I remember correctly which is definitely not his position. Has actually proved to be a capable striker in his years Im not sure I want someone with his previous though, and he is at the tail end of his career. Better out there imo
Please let this be true - we can then abuse him and Diouf at the same time and only face 1 charge for it
Fair point TC. That said, wasn't the case against Marlon King somewhat less straightforward than was originally portrayed in the press? Also, I note that Diouf has been almost angelic like since arriving at Leeds. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, even Marlon King??
Diouf has not been angelic since arriving to leeds. Admittedly, all he has done off the pitch is get pissed up and get beaten the crap out of but on the pitch he has been a nightmare. Always in the ref's face and picking up yellows (even a red) for doing stupid things like complaining and gestures. King doesn't deserve a second chance at leeds imo, not worth the hassle
http://www.leedsunited.com/page/PlayerProfiles/0,,10273~22623,00.html 2 yellow cards all season; and a red card for a, albeit stupid, harmless gesture. Hardly a nightmare on the pitch.
I never believe anything I hear in rumours twitter or other social networks. In Revies day we rarely knew who was coming in, we were buying everyone but Allen Clarke until he walked through the door. We should take our lead from Morley's most elevated son and wait and see.
Second chance? 14 offences, 2 prison sentences and currently on bail for nearly killing someone in a car crash. The bloke's a grade one cock.
Despite the fact he is clearly scum, I can't help but wonder if anyone would really care about his record if he wasn't a professional footballer. There's plenty of men with records just as bad or considerably worse out there, and there's no fixation on them, no mass outrage at them working within society. I'm not condoning Marlon or his actions in the slightest, I just wonder why we seem to vilify footballers more than regular people who have committed more heinous crimes
Because they are in the public eye due to the profession they chose, if they don't want that then go do something else. They need to behave themselves more so than the average joe afterall a huge part of football is about discipline
Agree that Marlon is a king sized knob! I think he will demand more than he's worth anyway. What chance he ends up at Watford? They can't get all their Udinese loans back!!
