    Again why exactly would him holding some bizarre belief system preclude him from being a manager of a football club? Half the fecking world hold some form of bizarre belief system, takes all sorts.

    Got to agree with BRS regarding Hoddle, his comments regarding the disabled were truly shocking and with views like that he should never hold a position of authority or influence again.
    cannot agree that an each to their own philosophy is acceptable in this case.
    What he said was nothing short of vile.

    So you're advocating religous discrimination? Its a sad day when the right to free speech is overlooked so easily. Do you realise how many people worldwide hold these kind of beliefs? Many people believe in many different forms of karma. Of course it is a controversial subject, and whilst I personally think it is madcap, I'd defend anybody's right to hold or express such a belief.

    Its not like he actively discriminates against disabled people, quite the opposite in fact if you look at his charitable work. He just holds a biazrre religious belief like many others on this planet.

    I never said you did. My point is with statements like that I don't want him anywhere near our club even if it meant cleaning the toilets at SJP out. It really brings up vitriol in me when Hoddle is mentioned. Anyone who has a family member who is disabled would feel the same way. My brother has had a lifetime full of abuse and ridicule, who is this bastard Hoddle to say that he DESERVES it because of some wrong in another life?

    There is no bigger critic and mocker of crazy batshit religious beliefs than me. Some of things people on this planet believe astound me. However you have to live and let live for me. As long their actions don't cause harm to others and their religious beliefs don't turn into something more sinister, I don't think you should discriminate against them. Otherwise where do you stop?
