Kinnear Coming Home...

Those who are not laughing at us are pitying us. This is too bizarre for words, and nothing official from the club ? Not even the typical old chestnut "NUFC are delighted to announce the appointment" blah blah...
Something is not quite right here.
Also hope Steve Bruce does us a big favour and succeeds in highjacking our supposed bid for Mr Bent.

 

Having taken note of the reason NUFC failed to sign Remy in January Mike Ashely has today appointed someone to fill the obvious gap at NUFC.

So it would seem that Ashley has given JFK a huge brown envelop as well as a job.

 

I just don't see how the club can't or won't comment. I don't get how Ashley isn't made to say something about why. Then again, even if he did it would be one-liners and platitudes, only one man - maybe two - have a clue how this oaf operates.

 

As we know from experience, you'd do we'll to swerve that one?...

 

The club updated it's web site 10 minutes ago to announce:

The silence over Kinnear is beginning to be deafening.

 

I just wish they'd spit it out. Have they hired the ****ing buffoon or not?

 

Lee Ryder's doing a live Q&A and seems to know a little more than my chewing gum, but not quite as much as the hairs on my ar$e.

Is it as simple as Ashley felt like the club needed a cocky cockerney wheeler-dealer involved in player recruitment? How can that be the problem from last year? It may be an admission of failure from the board if all it's about is whether we should have had De Jong/Douglas last Summer and Remy from January.

 

It will be hilarious is this is all just a figment of Joe's imagination and its actually a serious mental health issue

Rumours abound that Pardew's already jacked it in which is the reason for the lack of official press release.

 

There would have been a denial by now if there was nothing in it. Which means that something actually has happened but it's such a mess they can't figure out what to say about it.

Seems the most plausible explanation.

 

I can see this becoming a complete overhaul announcement (on Friday, of course) possibly even incorporating someone like Poyet. Kinnear in, let him shoot his mouth off to really drive the emotions, Pards walks with no case for constructive dismissal, Poyet - who will have been sounded off already, hence his inflammatory comments v. Brighton - comes in under the title First Team Coach, which he's happy with, job done. Costs a minimum, can't imagine Poyet's on a big salary, Kinnear probably owes money from his first stint as coach and we're all done.

 

It's a trick it's a trick, MA just hired a Kinnear lookalike to come to the club as a publicity stunt and raise some interest.

 

Ashley wasn't a popular man after he sacked Chris Houghton and sold/got rid of Barton, Nolan and Carroll. You went on to have a fantastic season after that. Then he became more popular with the fans, maybe he is just trying to make you despise him again because you play better that way.

 

In all honesty Kinnear wasn't that bad as manager so we may as well get behind him

dunno, when you consider his persona all round i'd rather not be involved with him but ive gone through the stages of shock, anger, bita laughter and now acceptance. i could never go and support another club so i'd rather get behind the team than whine about it.
