True, and it's not like they've got that much else to do on the Faroe Islands.... I've only seen them play against the Aussies..... I could have known that, I could have!
That feature on MOTD only made me feel more concerned for Tahiti. I might change my prediction. I think Spain will score at least 9 now.
Sometimes I think you lot mention us just to wind me up. As far as the smaller nations go, we aren't that bad. We were actually seeded in the 2nd bottom pot in the last WCQ draw, relegating Wales to the bottom group for the first time ever. Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg are all worse than us and with Gibraltar coming in, things are only going to get better for us This season hasn't been great; we were leading Sweden (not that bad eh Febbos? ) before losing 2-1, before being thumped 6-0 by Austria (a team we beat in the last qualifiers) and we have 0 points. We still have to play Kazakhstan twice, so I'm hoping we don't finish bottom and can beat them and maybe pick up a surprise result against Austria in the last game.
With regards to the Tahiti predictions, I'm gonna go 4-1 when they play Spain. I did manage to get odds of 25/1 for them to beat Nigeria tomorrow, on which I had a tenner. I actually think they might win that one.
No, but I have no gauge on how good/bad they actually are, so rather than just assume they suck, I thought I'd have a go. And what a ****ing goal that was from Suarez.
I can't see Spain fielding a full strength team but can't see that changing too much. I honestly think Spain will go easy on them after 6/7... So I'm gonna go with 7-0
He still plays, but he hasn't featured for the full international side for a while now. Hallur Hansson is our hottest prospect at the moment; he was released from Aberdeen a couple of years ago, which shows just how in demand our talent actually is.
Spain to make 11 changes for this game reports suggest. Tahiti only have one pro footballer and he plays in Greece. I shall go for 6 - 0 as Spain have topped the group already and it serves no purposed blitz-In-em does it ? Valdes to start in goal but could Pepe Reina get a run out Up Front at some point ?
Hats off to Tahiti though, they clearly didn't care about the amount they conceded, they just wanted to score a goal against the World Champions. They came out, played positive, attacking football, and I actually enjoyed the game. It's very easy to get bored watching a match where a top International side plays a Nation way below it's level, as one team dominates and the other looks likely of doing anything at all (San Marino vs most people for example) but Tahiti actually looked like they could, with a bit of luck, nick a goal at some point. They're keeper also impressed me actually.
