Says he wants a move to the Premier this summer. Am I right in thinking he played up front for Laudrup at Getafe? If so I think we should be in for him. He's 27 but has a fine CV scoring 1 in 2 (roughly) in the Spanish top flight and has a similar record for Spain. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Soldado P.S. I realise this should be in the transfer rumours thread but thought the board could use a new thread discussing football as opposed to bitching. Please keep that shoite off here.
We are third favourites to sign him http://www.oddschecker.com/football...rto-soldado/club-after-summer-transfer-window
Great pedigree and a very impressive strike rate. Problem is, if any of the other clubs mentioned in the betting odds really fancy him, we've got no chance. Love to see him here, so let's hope Michael's pulling power puts us in with a chance.
Depends Ivor, the other teams are already top loaded with offense and we have ML. So at the other club's he would be a rotational player whereas with us, if he delivered, we would be a regular in the Prem. Does he want money or regular time on the field.
Thing is, Yankee, many of these players probably think they're good enough to start regularly at a big club, so in their eyes, they get it both ways. Of course, it's not always the case but too late for us when it happens.
Hope we can get him as at 27 then he is in his prime, Its the sort of player looking at him that we need, I just hope all this rubbish that is going on dont put him off..
Tottenham are desperate for a striker with Adebayor firing blanks and Defoe becoming injury prone, if he does leave Valencia then I think Spurs will probably be his next club
