Just seen we are now 1/4 on with Bet Victor and 1/3 on with SkyBet to sign Austin before kick-off. Something happening?
So I have plenty of money,Get over it.I will affect the odds if I so wish. Then I cash in when I have started the stampede in the wrong direction. My next grand goes on Southend
some bookies even put up overly short 'player to sign' markets for free advertising in the the hope one of the red-tops or betting sites mentions their markets.
I suppose it has to be "serious money" (to be a twat and quote myself) in proportion to the total amount laid, which i guess isn't a lot on these types of markets unless you have inside knowledge
I suspect the money placed on these bets is fairly small, hence my suggestion that it wouldn't take much to swing the odds. I'm no expert, I'm just guessing.
Now that would be nice but the first 2 will do for starters. £8m plus add ons for the pair could do it.? "cityshark" on twitter has the Austin deal well on the way.
Normally, when you place bets to try and change odds its because you are laying other options or maneuvering for arbs. It's relatively simple to do on an exchange if the market value is within your range. Winning is not relevant to that practise. Bookies and big gamblers just do it with far larger bankrolls.
Mannone Davies Chester Figueroa Elmo Bridcutt Boyd Meyler Brady Aluko Austin All within the realms of possibility without breaking the bank...... Throw in a couple more tasty signings and a couple of quality loans from one of the big 3 and I think we'd all be happy.
Boyd has been cack in midfield, far rather have Quinn in there and we haven't been heavily linked with Mannone or Bridcutt but agree that'd be a decent team.
