Well it would be good on the years where there's no football, like this one but is this his first steps to get the European League he's been wanting for years? It's the only space he's got available. On another note, can anyone believe he's divorcing that bird. Unless he has someone else lined up. Who says money can't buy you what you want?
Would clubs have massive squads and swap players around to recover (a bit like now!)? I doubt she married him for his body and I doubt he married her for her money. If I was a billionaire I would steer clear of getting married. Even with prenuptuals. If it's good enough for George Clooney (he denounced it - for him at least - 20 years ago), it's good enough for me!
Reading it the idea does have merits. Better than the normal pre-season dross which it would replace. But as the article says it looks like its a Get back at NBC situation over in the USA. Nice to read that 20 PL games will be going out Live on the main NBC network. Football or soccer in the USA is certainly in the watershed area now.
Would and Will have no effect. It basically a pre-season thing. An upgrade on pre-season tours that happen now or will do in July. Games with a better meaning and attraction so to speak. Better this than the Barclays Asia Trophy imo. Would love to see Hull City tour/play in the USA one day. Americans love an underdog doing well.
I noticed this story on the front page of the Guardian yesterday, that I am convinced that the picture used was us vs Chelsea, with Andy Dawson in it. I reckon Murdoch is considering us amongst the elite few.
