Do you really think you plan for a football season on such a simplistic formula as allocating a certain amount of money to a position? There's an infinite number of possibilities of player quality, transfer fees, wages, loan fees. I'm simply saying that if we get McGregor we shouldn't limit ourselves to looking for a goalkeeper who is worse than him. It appears to have upset some people! You may suggest we should sign "4 or 5 quality top league proven strikers" but I wouldn't agree with you.
Who are these goal keepers we've signed and which one wasn't good enough? I wish I knew who we have and haven't signed.
It's a new concept. We're now writing off our own players before we've even signed them. ****ing ridiculous.
People were discussing possibilities for our squad (not moaning) in 2008 and what did we end up with? Same in 2009. We got some good players in 2012-2013 but we could easily be in Watford's position now. Some people seem to start screaming about bankrupting the club at the slightest hint of buying a good player. I'm not sure how they manage to deal with day to day life if they get so upset on a football forum.
I was being flippant. We'll find it hard to sign quality players without paying a fortune. We cannot afford, given the need to strengthen of areas of the team, to sign two goalkeepers of the quality of AM. However, it is possible that we could sign a good up and coming, unproven keeper for less from the lower leagues (or abroad) who might transpire to be as good if not ultimately better.
Wait to see who we sign, then you can pass judgement on them. So far, you've just slagged off players we haven't signed yet and suggested we pay someone who isn't good enough £30k a week. You just look clueless, though if we don't sign anyone decent, I'll lead your round of applause.
I don't disagree about McGregor (from what I've heard about him). I think the discussion was about needing another keeper and their quality. Bookkeeper? Couldn't you have gone for "office cleaner" and really tried to upset me? I bet you are full of put downs and you must think they are really effective.
Beautiful cats. I have 4 cats. 3 rescue cats and one i found on the harbour in scarborough 23 years ago as a tiny kitten. Shes still boss cat and fit , healthy. She sounds like beige cat though shes black and fluffy. Getting a cat from a rescue centre in stockport next week...been in the centre 3 years, shes about 4 years old and a bit wild hence no one wants her. I will tame her for sure, my rescue cats were all wild but not now...they sleep on my bed...
Of course you are. It shows what an hypocrite you are, though. You don't want to know because you said we have a £40m wage bill and then you turned it from a "wage bill" we had - present tense - to a wage budget" - implying future tense. I would be very surprised if Hull City publicised accurate budgets in the newspapers.
It's all right my son, just say three Hail Mary's, kneel in the direction of Mecca on Fridays and chop your foreskin off.
Err.. I'm guessing you've put this on the wrong thread Scarbs? Just thought I'd mention it in case people thought you were as mad as a box of frogs.
Becuase Mcgregor is a good goal keeper in fact hes better than good and would improve any team, yet i'm again dismayed by the lack of respect by people who think he isn't good enough, I'm not saying hes better than what you have, but again hes been wrote off becuase of the league he previously played in.
Done that, **** that stings. Have sold said foreskin to Leicester as a striker for £4m, but accepted Andy King as player exchange instead.
Sorry, bored with clueless whinging ****s now. I changed nothing, it's not my fault if you're too dim to read my posts.
I'm referring to our match against Sheffield Wednesday. Some people are suggesting that we go down a similar path next season. You even implied we would have Jakupović as our number two unless we could get rid of him. I think your immature insults on a football forum say much more about you than about me.
