Becchio was on 10k before he left and Snoddy was supposedly offered 15k captain and highest earner. Can't see white being on more than 6k tbh Matt Smith was on 450 quid a week at Oldham could quadruple it easily so his signing is very low risk so sensible signing for once.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22888346 Any of their players worth a punt? Don't know much about them really
Not in our lifetime Eire, unless someone out there with sh** loads of money comes in and actually invests in the club. (I know money doesn't always equal success) but it helps... I was looking forward to the new season, but my positiveness is starting to disappear, especially reading some of the comments on here...
am I the only one who doesn't rate monkey boy? He's decent but not up there with messi n ronaldo like some say
I agree with you, he is overrated. In fact I wouldn't even say he's the best player in the premier league
Beckford was on £6k a week plus add ons - appearance fee, goals bonus etc. Truth is Bates misused our money, he seemed to spirit all our cash away. Delph money, for example, the £2.5m we got from Chelsea for two kids, and so on and so on. Now we have GFH who clearly have no money, we are once again trawling the free transfer market and hoping for the best. Wonder how many of McDermott's targets will turn us down as we can't afford the wages they want? As I've said before, I am very underwhelmed by our activity so far, really hope things pick up soon and we add some quality to the squad. McDermott has a big job on his hands to get us promoted next season, but he knows what he's doing.
It is but I would'nt mind us being there. Miss the big game atmosphere against the prima donnas of the pl instead the sight of barely half full stadium
I rate him. Not only has he got speed and ability. He is starting to show that Gerrard factor (the Liverpool, not england one) where he can step up when needed, take the game by the scruff of the neck from centre mid (a position not his natural one) and tw@t the ball into the net to pick up a win when a draw seemed likely (or even fair). If we had someone even half the player Bale is at Leeds, we'd be laughing!
The issue with Bale for me is that he can be so ineffective for huge parts of the game, he also makes way too many mistakes ie. losing the ball cheaply to be a true great. Look at Messi, he literally never loses possession. No 2 ways about it he is a good if not great player but personally I'd prefer to have Mata in my team than Bale
Drain on wages if you ask me and we made do with players last season with the promise of the icing on the cake players who never arrived. Diouf, Morrison, Hunt, Smith, McCormack, Poleon - we can only play two at a time
