Gary Woods and Adriano Basso

A lot of rumours and speculation going around about these 2. Well I can tell you that neither will be with us during pre season on trial and we will be signing neither of them....

and so we continue the guessing game

 

I thought we were interested in Gary Woods so has he signed for someone else?

 

It was just rumours having us interested in Gary woods. Not sure if anyone is interested in him but sadly it isn't us.

 

Sorry Shiny where have you got this from nothing on Woods twitter account or anywhere else about him Pleased it won't be Basso though as was too old and played too few games.

I'm told there's no truth in the rumours of Basso returning to Bristol City. Former Doncaster keeper Gary Woods is not joining them either.

S O'D has apparently just told the BBC that it will probably be a couple of weeks before a Keeper signs I've posted it up

 

I don't expect a new signing now until pre season starts. We've been the 2nd most busiest club in the transfer market so far in league 1. So I don't want to hear no **** about nothings happening The club don't know what they are doing and we're crap in the transfer window.

Also S O'D was heard to say I used to be indecisive but now i'm not so sure.

 

Most players unless already released are contracted up until 1st July so maybe the club are waiting until then to see who is available

 

It's also so as not to breach the salary cap and get banned from signing anyone we will have to wait and see if anyone leaves If I was in charge of the board I would announce that the club will not listen to any offers for our players within 7 days of the transfer window closing. That would prevent another Maynard situation.

Bristol City are looking at lee camp and shay given. Both players want to play regular first team football. Sean O'Driscoll today announced that the club had been contacted by top flight players who want to play first team football.

 

The way it works is that players who are out of contract will be tarted around by their agents trying to get the best deal - this season with FFP in place there is less money about. Therefore more players will still be available (or out of work) nearer the start of the season - everything will be much later this year for everyone (exacerbated by earlier start to season as well).
We have 2 signings in the bag already (one a big centre half that we have all said we needed) - don't panic!!!

 

Surely there's no way we'd land Shay Given, and even if we could he'd want far too much money.

 

Unless it's a case of not being able to get his international spot back unless he is playing regularly and you get quite well paid for international caps nowadays.
