If it does can I suggest we use the 'Report Post' link. Our mods know us all well enough to separate genuine concern about the effect of trolls on our forum and the trolls themselves trying to get genuine members banned. EDIT: It didn't take the snakes long to slither back over here, did it?
Last Sunday was the only time I've seen this site be anything other than respectful but I've only been here for a couple of weeks or so. I heard it was rough in the early days, though.
Back in January there were a few teething problems, to say the least, then I think MalteseMick threatened to close the board, we moved to having the 3 mods we have now, and things settled down nicely. It was a bit of a mess to begin with, but there were a few decent posters who came here mainly for football, and then I think the forum started to get some posters who follow F1 as their primary sport.
I don't know, I wasn't here then. I suspect it probably went through what JA606 is going through now. All the trolls thought they had a new place to corrupt and it must have taken time and effort to get rid of them. Unfortunately one or two of them reappeared at the weekend.
Its funny because I wasnt expecting much from a monoco GP. Hopefully we dealt with it ok and can learn for the next races how to keep it sociable. Now 606 is closed and with the plan for Not606, there may be a few members come across so we need to be welcoming and respectful of thier views and hopefully they will do the same =)
Ah long gone BBC 606. What will I do to distract me from my work each day? I'm blocked from accessing the other mentioned sites like Muzz606 and CTA from work. But it looks like they have yet to recognise this site as one to block. So I may have found some light relief afterall. But if this site turns out to be just another BBC 606 clone with more of the same BBC 606 bull then I may just do some work for once - fancy that.
MGS, as you can see, there's a real will to keep not606 as it is now, lively and respectful. The only bull that's tolerated is El_Bando's avatar
Absolutely - I wholeheartedly agree with welcoming newcomers, including newcomers we may not have seen eye-to-eye with in the past - but when someone reveals themselves to be a complete fruitloop within two posts we also need to be confident that they won't be allowed to create the kind of problems we saw over the weekend.
I wonder who else looked at 606, DC I think did as homework for his new job which I thought was quite impressive.
