Can you point out where he said he isn't? He's just saying that after a year settling into the Championship he might be more of an important player next season.
You're probably right, he might not be **** next season. Though that's about as likely as Prozzy looking better in the Premier League.
It's an excellent point you make, almost as insightful as a typical Leicester fan, but it would be a braver man than me that takes a gamble on an unproven player. For you, obviously he won't cut it in the Prem since he couldn't do so in the Championship, but he may do a job for you the season after, when you've been relegated. By then, the 28 year-old could give you a season or two before he retires, potentially getting around 7-8 goals a season.
I've heard it was Corry Evans we offered, would make sense as he's unlikely to do much in the prem but he's a tidy NPC player that Nigel likes and has signed before.
