Ok this is a bit childish but i fink it works. You know how spurs have nicked our 'oh when the saints go marching in song'. Well i was at tottenham away last season but in the home end as i couldnt get in the away end so i got a ticket off a toute. But anyway there's a song they sing that i've modified. Its a tad aggressive but i like it and it go's... we are southampton and we are the best we are southampton so **** all the rest **** em all **** em all united, pompey, liverpool cos we are southampton and we are the best, we are southampton so **** all the rest (you see how i incorporated pompey instead of west ham) clever huh! x
its such a good lads song tho! It really gets the pulse going and I love the '**** em all' sentiment ! if we're heading for champions league thats the mentality we want!
I generally try not to swear when there are little kids present. Call me a wet, liberal, PC softy if you like, but I like that we're a "nice" family-friendly club and I don't really care if that's not a Champions League mentality.
Like a song that didn't involve swearing. We are a family club...wouldn't want that on a televised match. We aren't Millwall. Don't need to be aggressive.
I don't get this "we need to be more tribal" thing. Whenever I go to SMS I am always in the Northam or Kingsland bit next to it. In my experience there are few more tribal places to be! This song is simply 'orrible.
If something like that was chanted at the home of football on the South coast (Fratton Park), I'd cringe.
Not enough swearing in it. TRY HARDER sorry... TRY ****ING HARDER swearing is brilliant. Never trust ANYONE who doesn't swear a lot. Non-swearing people are evil.
Though I do like the way you equate Portsmouth with Man U and Liverpool, clearly you have respect for our glorious history.
Yep fair point cbk. Ill work on the lyrics. Its a bit **** dependent also. Ive never heard the c word in a footy song. Is that the line of acceptability. Btw this was all meant as a joke . I love all football fans.
Is this what you had in mind? Not sure how the Northam would look dressed like this? please log in to view this image
