http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/12/world/europe/disputed-square-in-istanbul-turkey.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 Islam & Celtic-mad country, Turkey, is once again troubled... Protesters in Istanbul are being battered with tear gas & water-cannon fire... (is that right?) Following on from the recent bombings in Turkey, is their Government right to be paranoid that the world media is trying to undermine them? I've not been to Turkey... a few friends have been there on recent holidays... they say it's "quite good" - i'm unsure if there are any religious overtones to their reviews. A terrible mess... all to protect a park. Camping holiday in Turkey anyone?
I'll be your own personal travel advisor if you like. There's a place in Southern France that is nice
Galway is nice and quiet at this time of year but if you like a bit more life go next month when the Arts festival and racing is on <judithChalmers>
My opinion is that the Islamist government is bad, because, ya know, it is Religious and it is moving Turkey away from secularism and stuff. Truly though, I've put about 5 minutes into Turkish politics in the last year and I know very little. But aye anyway, Up The Students!
Of course it should be a capital 'N' - anyway it really is nice - try it, you've got nothing toulouse.
Cab driver was trying to sell me his apartment in Turkey. 'Near the beach?' 'Only 20 minutes or so drive and you're there.' 'I'll get back to you' 'Bargain price' 'Are we there yet?'
