Cisse after more money

If he's not playing its because he isn't scoring. It puts the pressure on the player to perform. A 20 goal a season striker will rarely get dropped.
I know it wasn't related directly to wages but Fergie used to drop the big guns if they were not performing. They tried that bit harder and got back into the team.
The problem we have is lack of competition for places.
Players get appearance money but that's sod all these days. Why not switch the onus to paying big money on appearances and goals. Makes them think before having a lazy day.

 

Not sure what Benteke has to do with Cisse asking for more cash?

Think he means your suggestion of pay by goal - Benteke scored a shed load and look at Villa's position!

 

Not looking likely that Cisse will get more cash. The shirt sales are bound to drop for one reason or another and MA won't be able to raise anybody's salary.

 

The cheek for it, he should be offering a pay cut as he was pony last year

 

The board should say "sure, you can have a pay rise. Thing is, Papiss....every penny of your pay rise would have to come from the Wonga sponsorship..."

 

He's a goal a game scorer but never strikes me as a player who would get a hat trick.
So with our defence conceding 2 a game and the goal threat coming solely from Cisse we have a problem.
He's seen to be missing a lot of chances, so people get pissed off and have a person to show frustration at.
We need more creativity but there's no one to really vent that frustration on.

Cisse wants more money......... Needs to go to the Mackems then, they pay better than us apparently !
