Everyone loves a bit of gossip so here's what iv been reading on twitter....... With regards to those out the door, nothing more then a proposed deal for Cisse to go back to Greece fell through and he's now pushing for a move to France. Ipswich are trying to sign DJ, have a feeling that may come back to haunt us as there my tip to go up Those coming in, horrible rumours about Gallas and bently (can't see it). Upson imminent is another one as well as Simpson from Newcastle. Just rumours, nothing more, apologies if they've already been posted
Wouldn't like any of those mentioned. We need young and hungry. Lets rebuild pride rather than gambling on an immediate return to the premiership.
Didn't we go after Danny Simpson a couple of years ago, and he didn't want to come I believe. So why would we want him now unless he was cheap as chips.
We need to come straight back up! That has got to be the target FFS! That needs a combination of lean and hungry and players with experience, but we are already overdone on the latter type so I also hope we will be bringing in more of the lean and hungry...
The problem with our over 30's is that none of them were real leaders. What i mean is Hill and Derry did the job at championship level but had no effect on the bigger names as they arrived at the club. If we look at the Zamora's and Parks of this world they have never been that type of player. So i get the fact Harry wants some leadership but we must offset this by moving on a few of the over 30's. As somebody pointed out to me the other day the most highly rated team we ever had(1976) was a real mixture of young talent and old heads.
